We are expecting our first child May 18th and cannot wait to meet "it". The reason I say "it" is because we have decided not to find out the sex of the baby. So we have 7 more weeks to go until we know if it is going to be Gavin Cash Thacker or Phoebe Grace Thacker. Since no one will know the sex of the baby I wanted to figure out a way to tell our family and friends at the hospital when it is born. I decided to buy 2 onesis with the names on it and have Justin hold up the one that the baby ended up being. Before I received the onesis I really didn't care what the sex of the baby was but after I received them in the mail I am hoping for a girl. I fell in love with the "Phoebe" onesis and also came across these newborn tutus that I fell in love with.

As for the pregnancy it has gone great...if you don't count the not being able to tie your shoes, trying to bend over to pick up your pencil that you dropped, trying to squeeze behind someone and bumping into them because you really don't realize how big you are, not being able to sleep because you are a stomach sleeper and now have to sleep on your side and last but not least...stepping on the scale to realize that your weight could be compared to a cow. Here are some pictures to show how the baby bump has grown...
20 weeks
24 weeksSo since everyone tells me that they can tell the sex of the baby by the way I am carrying...what do you think??? Right now boy is winning.
We have started to get ready but I feel that we still have so much to do. As of right now the nursery is coming along. We have painted, put up a chair rail and have had a wonderful artist (Maria Deleon) come and paint murals around the room. The furniture will not be here until the middle to end of April, so I hope we do not have an early baby. As for anything else we have done nothing! Here are some pictures of what the nursery looks like so far....

If anything our baby will know its ABC's before it starts school. We had our 1st baby shower that was thrown by our Sunday School Class. It was wonderful! We received so many good things. I started to freak out because I hate clutter and after we brought everything home I never realized how much stuff a baby needs. At least this gives me the chance to convince Justin that we really do need a bigger house.
So this will be the 1st of many and I will keep you updated of the rest of the pregnancy and through the years of parenting...
Wish us luck!!!
