We had four awesome baby showers thrown for us. We had one thrown in Richmond, one thrown by my work and Justin's work and one thrown by the Sam Houston State Alpha Chi Omega Chapter that I am the chapter advisor for. Here are some pictures from the showers.
The Richmond was thrown by my Aunt Toni, Aunt Mary, Mrs. Karen, and Mrs. Betts. Since Dr. Seuss is our nursery's theme...that was the theme of the nursery.

At the Richmond shower I saw my BFF Lauren! It was great seeing her again because the last time I saw her was last June in NYC. Here is a great picture of her saying hi to here future niece or nephew...
I also saw my wonderful little that I never get to see! It was so good seeing her and not only did I get to see her but I saw her wonderful fiance Dave!
The shower thrown by the Alpha Chi Omega Chapter was such a surprise! I had no idea that they were going to give me one. It was such a great shower!

The most important event that has happened the last 2 months in the Thacker family is we finally welcomed into the world our daughter. May 14, 2010 at 8:35am we welcomed Phoebe Grace Thacker! She weighed 6lbs 13 oz and was 21 inches long. I can't even describe how amazing becoming a mother is. I do have to say I feel that I was blessed with such a great labor. I started having back contractions at 6:00 am at 5 min. apart, we were admitted into the hospital at 7:00 am and she was born at 8:35 am. Labor went so fast that I really don't remember it. Here is a picture of our wonderful daughter...
I promise I plan on posting a lot more but we have just been trying to adjust to this new life and Phoebe is napping right now so I decided to rush a quick blog before she wakes up. I have so much more to say about this 1st month and will definitely blog about when I get more time. It has been such a learning experience and to sum it all into one quote would be from my wonderful husband, "Honey, she isn't a puzzle...you can't just figure her out". That was after going on 1 week of no sleep and I told him.."If I could just figure her out". For anyone who knows me I have to have everything planned out and figure out. Well after having Phoebe has made me realize that you can't plan everything and figure everything out.
